This past week I’ve been experimenting with baking flavoured bread. And you know me, I immediately had to look whether there are any bread museums around the world. I was surprised to discover what a popular topic it seems to be! Germany alone apparently has at least four bread museums, including the Europäisches Brotmuseum (European Bread Museum) in Ebergötzen and the Museum der Brotkultur (Museum of Bread Culture) in Ulm, which claims to be the world’s oldest bread museum. 30th Lange Nacht der Museen – Highlights

So, last weekend saw the winter edition of Berlin’s Lange Nacht der Museen (Long Night of Museums). As I mentioned in August, Berlin is the mother of all long museum nights, since they were the first to get the ball rolling. In fact, they are so keen here, that they hold the event twice a year, on the last Saturday in January and August.
