Introducing: #MuseumBaby No.2

November 28, 2014

Museum Boy & Museum Baby

As readers of this blog will know, ‘Kids in Museums‘ is a topic I’m very passionate about: take them early, take them often, take them (almost) everywhere! Well, we’ve been doing our bit for getting more kids in to museums, and I am over the moon to introduce MuseumBaby No.2 to you!! Though I suspect he has other things than museums on his mind right now… Since my first MuseumBaby recently turned 4 and very decidedly informed me he is now a big boy, he […]

*Short Break*

July 21, 2014

Museum Diary is taking a short break during the current heatwave sweeping Berlin, which is rendering it too hot to think let alone sit at a computer and write witty and worthy blog posts. Normal service will resume shortly :) In the mean time, if you’re also lucky enough to be enjoying a glorious summer, why not check out some of my recommendations for open air museum visits!

Collector’s Spotlight: Museum Souvenirs

May 2, 2014

In the latest edition of my Collector’s Spotlight feature, I have something a little bit different for you. In Germany they’re referred to as ‘Blogstöckchen’ (so called ‘blog sticks’ you throw to each other, much like you’d throw a stick to a dog). Sometimes the questions stay the same for everyone, sometimes the person passing them on changes them for the next blogger. I’ve had a few thrown my way, though up until […]

Save the Date: Museum Blog/gers Day on 19th March

March 17, 2014

This week, Museum140 – the project I started three years ago to bring museums and museum lovers together via fun and engaging social media projects – celebrates its birthday. I’m really proud of what it’s achieved so far, with recurring favourites such as Museum Memories Day, long running projects such as Adopt-a-Museum, and one-off successes such as MuseumABC. To celebrate its birthday, Museum140 is teaming up with the blog Museum Minute to co-host a Museum Blog/gers Day on Twitter. On Wednesday 19th March, we’ll be […]
