One of the most famous museum artefacts in Berlin, is the bust of the Egyptian Queen Nefertiti, which ‘lives’ in the Neues Museum (within the Egyptian Museum collection) on Museum Island. She even features in several of #MuseumBaby’s children’s picture books about Berlin. No wonder then, that the museum has put on a grand exhibition to celebrate the 100th anniversary of her discovery. This time last year I had the idea that, as a challenge for the year, I would try to visit 52 museums in 52 weeks.
