The Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian holds one of the world’s largest collections of Native American artefacts and actually consists of three facilities: the Cultural Resources Centre in Maryland, the George Gustav Heye Center in New York, and the museum building on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. with its curvilinear architecture and indigenous landscaping.
