This month, I’ve got #MuseumBaby helping me out with the book club instead of #MuseumBoy, as our June recommendation is one for the very little ones. The Maisy ‘first experiences’ series, by Lucy Cousins, sees Maisy the mouse and her friends – which include a crocodile, a squirrel, a chicken and an elephant – have lots of little adventures that young children can relate to. They go to the library, to nursery, or camping, they deal with bed time or wobbly teeth. And they go […]

After several art related museum books in a row, this month #MuseumBoy has chosen a book club read for you that features hats! It’s time for this month’s edition of the Kids in Museums Book Club, and once again it was #MuseumBoy who chose which book to share with you next. Or, in this case, books, because this month we have not one, but two books to share with you! The reason being that the two books share a theme and we’ve pretty much been reading them in tandem. We can’t read one without the other it seems – or maybe that’s just #MuseumBoy’s strategy to extend story […]

We are all big bookworms at our house, even little #MuseumBaby loves to grab a book and flick through the pages. For a while now, we’ve been collecting children’s books set in museums. I already had a couple before the boys were born, but since they have come along the collection has grown – over 20 books and counting! When I mention our collection to other parents, I quite often get asked which books I would recommend, so I thought it would be fun to […]
