Love is in the Air

February 13, 2015

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I thought I’d pull together some of my best previous posts for you, suited to the occasion.

Why try your hand at a spot of mail art and write your loved one a beautifully decorated letter? It may be too late to post it, but you can always deliver it in person ;)

You can never go wrong with chocolate! My chocolate almond torte uses ingredients that all naturally gluten free, so no experimental substitutions necessary.

And, of course, it will come as no surprise to you that I would recommend a visit together to a museum as the perfect Valentine’s date. In Tokyo, the Parasitological Museum is allegedly a hot spot for lovers, but if 30 foot tapeworms aren’t your thing, you can always play it safe with some art. Some of my favourites from around Europe include the Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen, the Ásmundur Sveinsson Sculpture Museum in Reykjavík, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam (see below), and the Museu Europeu d’Art Modern in Barcelona.

And for the Valentine’s cynics among you, there’s always the Museum of Broken Relationships in Zagreb ;)

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
