2013: An epic year of museum visits

Two years ago I set myself the challenge of visiting ’52 Museums in 52 Weeks’. Since then, I’ve not set myself any specific targets, but the habit of keeping a list of museums I’d visited stuck. That’s how I know that in 2013, I managed to visit over 100 museums in 5 different countries! 69 of those were museums I’d visited for the first time, so it was a pretty good year for new discoveries. And some of the museums I visited more than once, so the total count of museum visits was actually 143 – that works out at 2.75 visits per week. Can you tell I like statistics? Top 3 Most Visited Museums

  1. National Museum of Scotland (11 visits) – despite having left Edinburgh over two years ago, this museum still tops my ‘most visited’ list!
  2. Jüdisches Museum Berlin (8 visits) – for the third year in a row, our neighbours next door shares the top two.
  3. Deutsches Technikmuseum & Museum für Kommunikation (4 visits each) – #MuseumBaby likes to go where the cars are ;)
