The days are getting shorter and colder. Winter will be knocking at the door soon, but until then I’m enjoying the last vestiges of Autumn. I love the rich pickings that nature offers in Autumn to bring the outdoors indoors, even in the city: colourful leaves, acorns and chestnuts, pine cones.
There’s a magnificent tree in the front gardens of the Jewish Museum Berlin – which we like to pretend are our gardens, since we don’t have one of our own – which throws off more pine cones than you could carry.
Well, after we were done with it, there wasn’t much left to carry – we filled a whole box full! Now we haven’t just brought nature indoors, but also the museum. Just perfect!
