One of the very first museums I went to visit in Amsterdam, is the Stedelijk Museum located in the city’s Museum Quarter. Founded in the late 19th century, it houses collections of modern and contemporary art and design and is the largest of its kind in the Netherlands. I hope you enjoy some of the impressions from my visit:
The museum includes a Family Lab, where families can create some art of their own or pick up one of the three creative family trails to guide them through the museum. Kids age 12 and under go free, and there are some good family discounts available if your visiting with older kids. The Stedelijk Museum is open daily from 10 to 6, with late night opening on Thursdays. Check out the museum’s website for full details on prices and opening times.

Very nice review! I’m not a big fan of contemporary art, but some of these works capture my attention! :)

Thanks! I’m the same as you actually, contemporary art is not really my thing. But the museum was right next to the Van Gogh Museum, where I’d spent most of the afternoon, so I thought I’d check it out too. I just let myself drift through and see what captured me attention :)
