Hello everyone, Museum Diary is back again after the winter holiday break, and although we’re already in to the second week of January it’s never too late to wish you all a Happy New Year! I hope you all have a great 2013 full of health, happiness and, of course, museums ;-) Before jumping head first in to the new year ahead I wanted to briefly reflect back on the year that was. Jeff Koons Giveaway

August 3, 2012

Since the last giveaway was such a success, I picked up another set of art postcards for my faithful blog readers to win. When signing in on arrival, we were all handed a goodie bag. Bloggers love goodie bags! What am I saying, EVERYONE loves goodie bags. Inside were complimentary tickets to Jeff Koons. The Painter at the Schirn and Jeff […]

On my way to becoming a rockstar

Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt Bloggertreffen

One of the most memorable, and still often cited, quotes from last year’s MuseumNext conference was that museums should “treat bloggers like rock stars”. In Germany, the SCHIRN KUNSTHALLE FRANKFURT, one of the country’s most renowned art exhibition institutions, is leading the way with a ‘Bloggertreffen‘ (engl: Bloggers Meetup) this week. To try and answer what meaning blogs have in the art and cultural sector, and how institutions can better network with bloggers, they issued an open invitation (though registration was required) to all bloggers […]
