My blogger friend Anne, of Anne’s Kitchen fame, is not only an accomplished cook and food blogger, but also a published author – she’s just won the Luxembourg Book Prize for best non-fiction book –  and has her own TV show in her native Luxembourg. Museum fans may enjoy the most recent episode of her current show, which aired last night and features none other than the Currywurst Museum in Berlin! Focus of the event was the exhibition ‘Ades Wunderland’, honouring Berlin comedy artist Ades Zabel who was there to guide us round himself. Today is another museum themed day on Twitter, organised by the folks at Culture Themes this time, and the topic is Museum Badges (#MusBadges). As a collector of museum souvenirs, I have quite a few museum badges in my possession, so I thought I’d share some of my favourites with you today. Badges from Favourite Museums From left to right: Obviously, my most favourite museum in the world has to be represented among my badge collection. This one is from the National Museum of Scotland’s […]

As we are now in the full swings of summer – a popular time for going on holiday – I thought I’d run a little series of museum city guides during July and August. Perhaps they’ll prove useful for your summer holiday. So, for some of the cities whose museum landscapes I know quite well, I will be choosing my top 5 favourites, and I also have a couple of guest authors lined up for you. And since an update to my top Berlin recommendations […]
