Writing about the painted ceilings at Schloss Köpenick got me thinking about other museums I’ve been to where it’s worth while to remember looking up. Sometimes it’s because there’s an exciting exhibit you may otherwise miss, such as this painted ceiling from Rossend Castle at the National Museum of Scotland, Brachiosaurus head at the Museum für Naturkunde in Berlin, or a whole swarm of floating heads at the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery in Glasgow. Museums & the Movies: Blackmail

The new features on Museum Diary just keep coming, though this is one that’s been in the pipeline for a while. Two years in fact! I’d compiled a list of movies featuring museums, on occasion of the Academy Awards (a.k.a.
